The Animal Physiotherapy Group of South Africa (APGSA) represents the professional physiotherapists in animal practice, providing a regulated system of training and professional standards.
The APGSA is a Clinical Interest Group of the South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP), and represents the interests of registered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy. Animals, like people, respond to physiotherapy. The purpose of physiotherapy is to restore and maintain mobility, function, independence and performance. APGSA members are fully qualified Physiotherapists, registered with the Health Profession’s Council of South Africa (HPCSA) who have also trained in physiotherapy and rehabilitation for animals.
